In its June community-engagement update, Ok Tedi listed upgrading and resourcing Misima District Hospital among infrastructure initiatives under assessment or development. The proposed support would serve island residents as well as company staff and assist with pre-employment medical checks.
The same update described access roads, accommodation and airstrip works. This is a statement of the operator’s intentions; it does not report a completed hospital redevelopment.
