Misima Island is an independent project founded by Tāmati and Rebekah, connected to the Milne Bay website.
Messages and contact details.
The enquiry form saves your name, email, required phone number and message privately in the site’s enquiry repository. The information is also sent through Web3Forms to notify the editor by email. These details allow the editor to review and respond to your contribution. Contact details are not displayed with published stories.
Publication and ownership.
Sending a story is not automatic permission to publish it. We confirm the text, attribution and relevant permissions before publication. Contributors retain ownership. Please obtain permission from the photographer and anyone whose consent is required, including a parent or guardian for identifiable children.
Customary knowledge.
Only share knowledge you are authorised to share. We will not knowingly publish restricted customary knowledge. Community custodians can contact us about permission, attribution or removal.
Visitor insights.
The site records page visits, approximate location, device type, time on page, scrolling and click activity for website insights. Location can be approximate or unavailable. We do not ask for precise GPS location. Form text is not included in click tracking.
